The demand for immersible pumps for the laboratory and research sector has been growing more and more during the last years, operator`s demand for safety as well. Of particular interest is the safe transfer of small amounts of liquid into small vessels up to 200 l drums. Dosing of small liquid amounts was made in the past by controlling the flow rate via a nozzle.
Pump pressure therefore increased and the result was an uncontrolled filling process. Smaller vessels easily were flooded, thus producing a very high risk when handling acids and alkalis.
The new generation of pumps for laboratory and research sector is constructed to prohibit before mentioned cases and offers additional improved features for customer benefits.
Pumps for laboratory and research sector are used for a wide range of applications. It sometimes cannot be excluded that the pump under certain operational conditions is running dry. The pump therefore has been constructed without any mechanical seals. The sealless slide bearing technology of this pump offers a lot of benefits, e.g. no lubricants are needed and thus the liquid is protected against contamination.
The drive motor is a powerful 200 Watt commutator motor. The on/off switch with integrated speed controller allows to adjust the output of the pump depending on the required filling amount. Easy and convenient handling is guaranteed due to the ergonomically design of the pump. The motor complies with all security regulations, is splash-proof according to IP 24, has a long service life and is running ultra-quiet.
The pumps can be supplied in different lengths, 500 mm, 700 mm and 1000 mm for the use in small vessels up to 200 l drums. Pump tube materials are available in polypropylene (PP) and stainless steel (1.4571).
Due to the modular construction, the pump is service-friendly, simple to dismantle and can be repaired without any special tools. In addition the pump offers a complete liquid drainage function. As new accessory part a filling nozzle for one-hand-use is available for the safe transfer of liquids. The nozzle can be safely stored at a hanger which is mounted at the pump tube.
Complete pump sets comprising pump, PVC-hose, wall bracket and new nozzle for one-hand-use allow quick starting up of pump operation. The pumps can be purchased via the specialised laboratory- and catalogue trade as well as directly from the manufacturer.
