Drum pump made by Lutz
Requirements and liquids in the market could not be more different. Large quantities, high pressures, viscous liquids, chemical resistance and many more features make the drum pump face a wide variety of challenges.
We have the pump for any liquid. Even polypropylene and PVDF are not impressed by acids and alkali. Aluminium pumps ensure that diesel and oils run smoothly. Stainless steel is particularly suitable for corrosive and neutral liquids, it is tried and tested in the pharmaceutical and food industries. The highly resistant Hastelloy C does not fear highly aggressive acids or alkalis. You have the choice, regardless for which application.
There is a great demand to have the right drum pump for each application as we are dealing with a wide variety of thin and viscous, neutral and aggressive, cold and hot as well as flammable and non-flammable liquids.
If we are talking about a drum pump or barrel pump, it always consists of two main elements, namely a motor and a pump tube. The motor is the drive and responsible for the capacity of the various requirements. The pump tube ensures the safe transport of fluids with its high-quality materials and resistance to the liquids.
Due to the many variants of our products, we deliver suitable solutions for every challenge. Our portfolio is completed by suitable spare parts and accessories.
What immersion depth is required for which container? Canisters, hobbocks, IBC containers and special containers of all kinds are always the question for users. Since most containers comply with a standard, this also simplifies the answer for the correct immersion depth.
All standard Lutz pump tubes have been adapted to the appropriate container standards, resulting in depths of 500 mm, 700 mm, 1000 mm and 1200 mm.
Lutz also has the optimum solution for special containers and pump sumps as all pump tubes are available in individual special lengths from ~ 300 mm to over 3 m in length, which are particularly manufactured for our customers.
Explosion protection is mandatory for flammable and highly flammable liquids which are classified according to explosion group II (according to EN / IEC 60 079-0). The danger of gases increases from explosion group II A to II B to II C. The requirement for the barrel pump used for these explosion groups increases accordingly.
The explosion proof model of the Lutz drum pump provides optimum protection when handling easily flammable, flammable liquids and when working in potentially explosive environments. The drum pumps are made of stainless steel (1.4571) and Hastelloy C. They comply with all international standards and regulations as well as with the directives according to Atex 2014/34/ EU and IEC Ex.
